I don't really know anybody too well yet, but it really steamed me that what I considered a host...isn't that what Edgenet essentially is? A server, website hosting company? Kind of akin to a landlord...anyway: I know I'd be pretty pissed if I had a popular website, and my server suddenly decided to come in and take over it. I would think them unethical, and pack up my toys and go home...move elsewhere. This is what I gathered was the situation...all politics aside. That edgenet had no place coming in here and stirring things up, and taking over, and deciding who runs what. They are the host. They own the domain name, and the software that was liscenced out for the maintainance of this site, but that doesn't mean they have the right to say who operates and maintains the site. Because it was operating at a loss?...if it was such a huge loss for them to keep Renderosity up then why weren't we booted ages ago? Charity? I don't buy it. What are the motives of a landlord who let's you slide on the rent? There has to be ulterior motive unless he/she is part of the family. As far as I know, Edgenet has never been directly involved with the community here, or been a participant. And what's with all the personal politics? A bit sophmoric don'tcha think?
