The textures are original and royalty free. They were created with a texturing program (Texture Maker) using a combination of "Genetic Texturing" which can move a texture in a direction you're interested in, and then modified slightly in most cases with other specific tools (like weathering - seen on the future 'wall/floor' tile set, color modification, etc). But they aren't hand drawn, and range from simple 'trim' type textures to fairly complex patterns. If you want a close look at five of em, take a look at my freestuff section.
