Dave asked ...

"Why are we stuck using Don and Judy in the face room? Why cant we use Mike2, Vicky or Stephanie?"

Hi Dave,

"... Stuck ..." ???

I'm not sure this is an appropriate word to use since you can create (literally) many thousands of different faces (heads) using the Face Room.

But, you ask a very good question and I will attempt an answer here but you may find some additional explanation in the following pages of this tut.

First, it is an extremely complex process to put things together in Poser, i.e., put a different head on a body -or- put a different body on a head. The "parts" must fit together perfectly in order for the figure to work properly.

Curious Labs (CL) produced Poser5 including "Don" and "Judy." They had to insure that the Poser5 figures were compatible with the faceroom head ... and they did.

DAZ produced "Mike2," "Vicky" and "Stephanie."

Let's try this ...

Chevrolet is producing a brand new car but you want to install a transmission made by Ford.

Is it Chevrolet's responsibility to make sure that Ford's transmission will fit properly in it's new vehicle?

-or-

Is it Ford's responsibility to make sure that it's transmission will fit properly into Chevy's new vehicle?

Is it reasonable to expect Chevrolet and Ford to exchange confidential and proprietary information with each other?

Prolly not.

What you want to do can be done ...

... but you would need to make an "adaptor" object, i.e., a custom "neck", that would allow you to connect head "A" with body "B".

In addition, you would need a special "adaptor" for every different head and body combination that you wanted to use.

OK?
