So there was a big show trial (from what I understand), and Dillinger was banned (from what I understand), it was a vote of either 55 or 129 that got him banned (from what I understand). Reality check people... you too can be banned with a vote from less than 1% of the members! Last time I checked, you needed a majority vote to pass a motion in a democracy. Seems to me that Dillinger was gonna get banned regardless, just that Edgenet wanted to make a big play of "simply responding to community pressure". That way their hands are clean and there are no come-backs on Edgenet. After all, people, it was us that voted to ban Dillinger - wasn't Edgenet's decision. No sir, no way - they were only following orders. (Now where have I heard that excuse before?) God in Heaven people, which of us haven't flown off the handle at someone here, which of us haven't used bad language? Is this the way forwards - a community that publically humiliates and castigates those members who disagree with the party line? Which of you fine people are next? Do you still have the right, the freedom to speak your mind on this site? Do you? Or is there that less than 1% lining up ready to stick you into the next show trial for daring to speak your mind? And remember, these posts aren't censored - but where is the "trial" of Dillinger? It seems to have dissappeared into the cyber-ether that's waiting to swallow up all posts here that refuse to toe the party-line. And where is my post asking if the election of moderators will be open and free, or if it will be a closed vote. That seems to have gone the way of the dodo too. I really hope you're having fun - 'cause you could be next Paul
