AntoniaTiger, Perhaps you can be a might bit more gracious towards the people who are making and giving away the product of their hands and skill? Not all of them speak English. Most of the files I have looked at have had something in the notes and comments link. This is especially true if the item requires another item to work (for example: a texture for a dress)... because then you won't waste their bandwidth by downloading something you won't use if you don't have the underpinnings. Bandwidth is expensive. I would suggest buying everything you are going to use in a picture if this troubles you so much. Commercial packages are required to have readmes and MATs and zips all laid out in order. They have product support and merchants to answer questions. You won't have to fret about "who is it for" or "will it fit", and you won't have to resort to name-calling. As to the search issue: People can add keywords, which might not appear in the file description but which can help identify the item. Unfortunately, this Forum only allows one word searches, unlike 3dcommune with the boolean search on 3 names. That is not a problem that the modelers and texturers can solve.
