I've noticed the same problem since I upgraded to XP - the task bar is inactive. This is particularly annoying when you're working in the terrain editor, because you have to OK or cancel and get back to the main Bryce window before you can minimize Bryce. I've been gnashing my teeth over it for months! Thanks for the Alt+Tab tip, though :)
