Hmmnnnn.....this was a new machine with XP Home installed when I bought it. Having read ddruckenmiller's post I checked, everything on my m/c is set up the way he describes, but nothing happens when I hit Start. What I found does work is to hit the Windows key (never thought of doing that before), ignore the start menu that pops up, and hit the icon on the taskbar for the program wot you want to work with. Hurray for that :)
