I'm not sure where i stand on the issue, but i think the details of the issue were not about people giving bad advice, but about their level of honesty in giving advice, which includes not commenting on particular aspects that one could comment on. I don't think it would be easy to tell if this were happening - there's really no external sign. I would hate to see it become common practice for people to give some advice but hold back the rest in an effort to benefit their chances of winning.
