How much work are you willing to do? Here are the talons on a Mike 3 character. What I did was select each one with the grouping tool, spawn a prop, then move it into position on the finger tip and parent it to that last finger joint. It was a complete pain in the butt and they didn't want to cooperate at all (in fact, I gave up on the thumb claw), but I got it to work in the end. You could try that.
