They want to sell PC memberhsips, and if you're nosey enough or desperate enough then "product previews" (long touted as a benefit of PC membership) might just be enough to sway your wallet in their direction. Also, since they keep giving PC memberhsip "privelages" away to others for free or just revoking them, they probably feel they ought to honor one or two of the promises from time to time. This is obviously one of those times. Don't fret, there will be plenty of marketing hype for everyone else too in the coming months.
