There is no problem with putting your link to a freestuff item in a post as long as it doesn't have an image that violates tos along with it, or a link to an age restricted site. If it turns out to be something we can't approve (eg, has copyright issues or whatever) then the post will get deleted too, but as you are making your own models I can't see that happening.
