Though we're not as perfect at communication as we often wish we were, we do try very hard to give aid to our customers where possible. There are two reasons for having you register to download free items or place purchases: To be able to contact customers with product updates and other important information directly, and that of being able to keep our customers informed of what's new each week at DAZ, among that is the weekly listing of the new Free Product of the Week. The specific reasons for doing this with the BETA of D|S are the very same, it allows us to very easily get in touch with the users of our software so that we can help them stay informed of the latest releases, bug fixes, and free content. And, as Maclean stated, it makes it a bit easier to keep track of exactly how many people have downloaded, not just how many times the files have been accessed. ;) Thanks, Steve Kondris DAZ Productions, Inc.
