That's faked HDRI. It's essentially a sphere mapped with the scene to be reflected. The sphere encloses the entire scene. If you do a search for HDRI in this forum, you should find several threads that lead you to sites where you can download bitmaps and the free software to alter them so that they map correctly to the sphere.
