Hey people, I thought I'd show you what I've been working on the past week it's a spacestation for the game Orbital Threat. It's not done yet as you can see clearly, but I thought I'd share anyway :) What you're looking at now is an untextured render with the sun as only lightsource and rendered with Real Ambience at 64rpp. Took about 8 hours to render at 1280x1706 pixels.

Yep excellent modeling....But how high is your Poly count?If its is around 3,000 then you are doin awesome any higher and things can get a little tricky...

At the moment it's 36 million polygons and more then 19000 primitives. All modelled in bryce. I think that'll get slightly above your 3K foleypro :P But that's no biggy, it won't have to be used in real time. It'll be pre-rendered static images :) I'm also gunna make a fight scene with fighters flying between the tubes and pipes of the station. I have made it this detailed for close ups and such. Wait till you see it with textures when it's done!

oh wait, not all modelled in bryce, there's about 4 simple meshes used that I build in amapi.

Not only is the station impressive, but an 8 hour render just for a WIP post - man - that's dedication!

8 hours is just a simple overnighter :) no dedication needed for that, only a good night sleep :P

Holy Cow! This is serious stuff! I love the way you've incorporated the Maxlance AB84-C 'Pitchers' as the main weaponry! The Gamma-Side repulsor-shields are a nice touch too!

I've added even more details now, but it's starting to crash my pc >.< I'm probably moving on to using my laptop for the last final touches, 'cause it's more stable then my pc and also faster and it's got more swapspace ('cause that's becomming a prob on my pc)
