In answer to post #29, maybe you are not saying directly that people should be actively disallowed to post images not corresponding with what you consider to be the received idea of what WW looks like. But if, as has happened, two people post images that don't show due "reverence", and those people then have personal abuse directed at them, it amounts to something similar. The fact is, I think some people here are confusing form and substance. By substance, I mean the character WW. By form, I mean the accoutrements of her costume/equipment. If you made a WW film starring Kate Winslet as WW, then you would be justified in criticising that Kate Winslet is not much like the comicbook character, yet the message of the film is that this IS WW. On the other hand, if I had a Poser Winslet-lookalike character, and I dressed her in a WW costume, and posted the result saying that this was Kate Winslet in a WW outfit, then you could maybe complain that the character didn't look enough like Kate Winslet, but not that it didn't look like WW. Mason didn't say "this is WW", he said "this is how Billy-T's WW costume fits V3". He could have given V3 pink hair and green skin if he wanted, so all the criticism directed at him was completely unjust. Otherwise, next time you see a 12-year-old kid walking down the street in a Batman outfit, you might as well drag it off him, complaining that Batman doesn't look that small and weedy, and it isn't showing due reverence to the character, and the bat insignia is the wrong colour.
