Hey i was wondering if anyone knows of a program to browse and view 3ds or obj files in a explorer type view, meaning i want to look at them without importing them into any program.....does one exist?

Thanks for the heads-up. This will solve my dilema too. I've got gigs of props for Bryce and Poser, right now it takes hours to try to find what I need in my archives. Right on ! THX.

Okay well one of the programs f*cked my computer, though im not sure which one....i installed two of them...restarted and to my horror all i got was a explorer error, no safemode available ,Soooo the bad news is ive lost about 8 gigs of stuff, no biggie really...but you all know how long it takes to find all your bryce mats again the good news is My computer needed a fresh start anyway! so be carefull with these d/ls maybe its just me,maybe its win98..i dunno

Hmmmm... Are you Positively sure it wasnt a trojan just waiting to Happen?Did you stop the install before it was done?Did it lock up your computer during Install to where you had to restart Manually?Dont wipe out just install Windows over the existing Windows that way you repair the Corrupted File and might still be able to save all of your stuff,Or even better get another harddrive install windows then hook up your other drive with your stuff and then put as Slave then open the drive and copy all of you important Files directly to the new drive then Format the older drive and use as backup...Then Copy the files into your new Backup drive then you wont loose everything again...I am almost dead sure it was not Yarps Program due to the fact I use His program all of the time...I even helped get Bryce into the program(Worked with Yarp over the Net sending him scene's and Pics and such)...So I stand by his program...I am sorry about all of the Gigs of stuff lost...Get a back-up Drive...They are cheap now and you will never loose your stuff again...I back up all of my critical Files and scene's into 2 different Places on 2 different Backup drives...Once again sorry if you already wiped out and re-installed,There are always ways of getting data back unless the drive is totally destroyed..

nah it wasnt a trojan or virus....it was probably just win98 we all know how stable THAT is.

foleypro ( ) posted Wed, 28 April 2004 at 8:36 PM

Well I am starting to think it is more Stable then Win$P...I get tired of that dang error Menu...And I have it turned off...Truespace6.6 doesnt like that Error message either,Ohhh wait I am always using Truespace when I get that error...Hmmmmm....
