A classic elegant black suit or tuxedo would be nice (romantic dancers and cruise ship scenes, etc.) and would fit Don well since he doesn't have basketballs for shoulders or traps up to his eardrums. He could wear tailored clothes and look smart in them. James Coburn in such movies as Waterhole #3 wore tailored gambler's jackets and hats and looked damned sharp in them. (sexist movies, but I liked the way he moved and smiled) The jacket worn by Brannaugh in the second Harry Potter movie was sharp, too. Cumberbunds and vests would allow lots of scope for texturing! Like Deecey, I would like a loose adventurer's shirt (the Deva catalog has riverboat, pirate, adventurer's shirts all slightly different in neck and yoke details, but all designed for comfort while moving or working. Sleeves billow. Does anybody remember "Riverdance" and the wonderful white shirts of the Irish stepdancers? I have a patttern for Celtic wear (shirt and kilt) where the sleeve tops are filled with tiny gathers to get that effect. A pirate digging treasure or sailor hauling in ropes doesn't want the seams to split when he bends over! For trousers, I like the cossack look of loose pants tucked into boots. Whether they are lace-up soft forest-walking boots or shiny black riding boots doesn't matter (both are good). For decorating, a coat such as the Russians or Turks used to wear would be great. Floor length. Impressive. Carolly
