Check out Morphworld's set of tutorials on morphing with magnets. You can find the tutorial page here.

His tutorial doesn't mention changing the Mag Zone's display mode to wireframe though so you might want to do that as you work through the tutorials. You'll find it easier working with magnets if you can actually see their zone of influence.
