Ok, round 2! This time I'll copy it before I post it. Now... what did I say... I wish you the best of luck in whatever decision you make, but I feel that I should bring about a point that you may have not considered. Have you thought about dual-supporting items? What I mean by that is make an item that fits both the Dolls and the Vickys. With Grimjerk's obvious ability to make things fit, and the products you release, I think there's a definite marketing potential not being used here. I haven't seen anything out there that fits itself over more than one figure type. Or at least, over our ever-popular Doll/Vicky figures. What I mean is something like this... since it's staring at me in the face. Nice fits, Grimjerk. The Catherine dress. Build it, make it fit one figure, make it fit another figure, put the full body morph in that changes it, market it. Testing of something like that would be through the roof, but I think there's huge potential there that no one else seems to be doing (probably for good reason, but I haven't seen anyone mention anything like this before). Of course, the market being as it is, you'd fit it first to the Vicky crowd and have the morph fit it to the Dolls. Doing it the other way around, while more preferred for us would not be a good marketing strategy. Also, they should be dual-faced ads and thumbnails. Showing both fits or whatever. You'll want to play to that potential. Getting both sides to look at the product will gather more clicks. More clicks becomes more sales. I've been noticing a decline in the viewing of anime-type pictures in the galleries for the past few months. Before 2004, the pictures were getting hit in the high 500s or so. Now they're getting hit in the 100s. I have also received some IM's (I save them all, except the "so-and-so received your message" ones) saying that while the person doesn't watch/care much for anime, they like the picture.. or someone they were browsing with liked the picture. That tells me that there is not that much interest in the anime artform here on Renderosity. But there is some, obviously. I'd support you in whatever decision you make, marty. Whether you continue to work with us on the Doll or move to something else entirely or do both (much more prefer the latter). But, it's early... what I said probably doesn't make too much sense. Just something I was thinking of. Oh... and did I mention that we should take this forum off of Renderosity's PoC forum? ...selecting all... copying... hitting the button again.
