How can I prevent the reflection of trees in water???? TIA Debby

I dont know if it is possible. Personally, Id render it twice. First image with tree, second without tree and then blend it together in Photoshop. This is method I used in my image "Relativity"

That could be a plan..... I was sort of hoping there was a way to do it inside Vue...but your idea will work..... Thanks :)

I had that problem and lowered the reflection setting of the water to get rid of the object that was reflecting on to it. Might not work in your image. What is your water reflecion set at.

Global reflectivity is 1% :O..does not soon good.....
