I wasn't going to write this, but I changed my mind... I started out making Poser stuff in RDS 5.0, it is an awful program. Aside from all the bugs and crashing and whatnot, it also make bad mesh- with unconnected faces and holes and other things I can't remember. I don't know if 5.5 is much better (never used it), but I'd advise not wasting your time learning to use it, time is money too, remember.
