It sounds like our friend aodor has had more experience with CC than I have. It would certainly be worth following his recommendations first.

When I'm looking for an OpenGL problem (alas, too many with ATI particularly), I generally start by turning it off, if that's possible. Then I turn it up halfway and see if there's still a problem. Using that as hunting technique, I either raise or lower it by half until I find a value that works. Of course, other problems may require readjusting it again.

Another choice is to look for an updated display driver, but that can occasionally make things worse rather than better if it's something subtle.
