Alright sis, first off, when your creating her, are you using a preset hairstyle? If so, just reapply it when you bring her into the interface. If your hair is custom, you may have to place it after you load her in the working screen, "then" save her again. Make sure you parent the hair to the head once you've got it where you want it. It will be with her permanently then. On your second question, the skin. Here's what I do. Go to your Render materials, and slide the "Highlight" all the way to 0 to start, then push it up if you want. For skin, I rarely use it. I have a post a few down from this one with an image in the editor. That's with the skin Highlight to 0. Heres is a link to an image I posted a few days ago. Her skin highlight is set to 0. You must do it for each part of the skin, but keep the highlights on things like eyes, lips, ect. Try zeroing that for the skin though and it should take that icky plastic look out of her. Good luck.
