If your using P5 you might check RDNA's free P5 section, Traveler has posted some great P5 textures and then you can see how he did it or just tweek his (materials that is). In Photoshop you should have a filter called "texturer" and you can make a leather texture for it. Paint it black apply the texture then add a smig of blue tint. Wait, I see you are emphisizing Shinny, have you looked at Traveler's Black Latex texture? (for P5) He has two pre-sets ready to go. Change the bump and you'd have shinny leather too.
