The station is integrated into the terrain? Cool Reminiscent of James Blishs Cities in Flight is that where you were headed?

Blish might be more commonly recognized for the 22 volumes of Star Trek adaptations he produced, but Cities in Flight, which is a compendium of four of his novels published around 1950, has been called an Interstellar Grapes of Wrath and has to be considered an essential classic, at least by me. Over 50 years ago Blish put together a continuity that stretches from its beginning in the political pork barrel projects of a Jupiter mining mission and pharmaceutical research, through the collapse of the cold war the rise of a global geopolitical business bureaucracy, the elevation of the cult of technology, the lifting of whole cities and industrial complexes into space for migrant work, a galactic currency collapse, right through to the end of the universes (plural) but not the end of time or creation. Not too shabby considering its almost 55 years old. And it still holds up, albeit not as seamlessly to our heightened sense of technological scrutiny and critical inspection, but its relative impact remains undiminished.

Thats the gallery post comments I wrote for my Skybergenisis image that I never put up.

Want to license it for your post tomorrow?
