Hi all- I am trying to view my gallery images but cannot see them... is there maybe something wrong on my end? Can everyone see them? Thanks all :)

Hi Odious, I took a look and everything seemed to be working fine with your gallery. Were you signed when you checked? It'll usually come up empty if you're not signed in...just a thought... good luck! bye for now, jen

ummm, what's with the hardcore-sex link attached in your last post?? Maybe you've got deeper problems with your computer, like a virus or spyware or ?? attaching links and blocking images????

Sorry about that I had to delete the posts with the porn links. (I trust you will all understand ;-) I know this has happened before. I'll try to find how to correct it. I'll be back, LillianH Renderosity Marketing & Promotions

Hi Lillian, I'm glad you deleted them...I wondered who I should ask about doing so, but didn't know. I'm sure Odious is in for a long night trying to get rid of his virus problem. thanks again, jen

Okay, with a little searching I found what I was looking for...how to fix this. The attached link is the original thread from December with instructions on how to fix it and where to get the stuff to do it. I hope this helps Odious. Best of luck, LillianH

gotta ask after reading that has any other BBS system been affected? I'm a member of many boards, but the only one affected by this has been here...? has anyone looked into this?

Be careful with those porn URLs. This is not something new, but it hasn't been publicized much AFAIK. There are flaws in various OS regarding automatic registration of "URL handlers". I don't exactly understand it, but somehow a URL can contain a command or direction to operate a program, either remote or on your machine, which can do harm to other files on your machine. Such a URL would have a direction in it, like file: or disk:, that you'd spot if you saw the actual URL, but you won't spot if the URL encloses a website name or other innocent-looking phrase.

Make sure you have all of the MS critical patches installed. At least two of them address this issue.
