Thanks everyone for the feed back! I need to clear up some things I guess. The comic treadmill is the name of my buddies web site - It has nothing to do really with the image. Also the comic treadmill (from what mike described to me) is a play on words referring to the Cosmic Treadmill. This is supposed to be a vague reference to a piece of equipment used by "The Flash" that enabled him to travel though time by running on a treadmill. You might find it interesing, that the only post work on this is the compositing of the text,the swoosh,paper texture , and two images straight from a p5 render. What I did here was to use the lighting node:diffuse:cartoon. Posed don, teaked his ears and nose, added a little anger morph and made two renders, one was regular render and a second sketch style which produces all of the pencil lines in black and white. In photoshop, I simply layered the two and added text. The whole thing took about 20 minutes... I was just tickled with the results for just playing around. Try for yourself comping two images this way... I could be a really good technique for producing this kind of thing.
