Good pointer on billy-t's stuff. Out of curiosity I did a quick 5 minute paint job to see how it would turn out. Depending on the closeness of the image to the glove, etc. it can work well, or poorly. (Obviously, another 5 minutes is required to clen up some edges, smooth the bumped creases, and add some finer grain bumping.) I included a render with an existing full finger glove where the finger segments were simply turned off. Again, at certain ranges, this may work well. (Where ever possible reducing mesh count helps keep the rendering time under control:-)
