pakled - I use Unwrap3d for UVmapping, it's so.o.o.o useful. I know lots of people find UVmapper great as well.I hadn't really thought about it before (I UVmap only when texturing objects to convert to Viewpoint Objects), but it seems to me that UVmapping wouldn't be necessary if you're intending to use a Bryce material. Just setting the different materials within Wings should do the trick, shouldn't it? Then you can set the kind of mapping to use from the drop-down in the Texture Editor. Though I might be speaking out my nether regions!
This could do with some experimenting. But I can't see the advantage of UVmapping unless you're applying texture images.
The UVmapper within Wings could be worth experimenting with as well, though I suspect you need a high-powered brain to get to grips with it :(
