As an addition to the advice given above, another courtesy is to give your help requests a meaningful title. For example, "Help wanted!" is non-specific and will get a lot less attention than something which relates to the actual problem you're having. That said, never be afraid to ask a question. Somebody here will more than likely know the answer.
