" Curious Labs. I am pissed as hell at you!"
ME TOO! Let's give em hell. ;-)
I'm pissed that I can't take a few steps back and undo something that I previously did. Had to come up with a stupid "workaround" that wasted 5 minutes of my preciously short life. Phooey!
I'm pissed that if I close the render window, it's gone forever, and I can't change my mind about what to save as or double check something for reference in a test render. I have to save all my test renders to do that. Phooey!
I'm pissed that I can't just DUPLICATE figures or objects/props in a scene automatically. I have to save it as a figure and load it into the again, or run a damn Python script. Just let me right click/drag to clone a figure and props! PHOOEY!
I'm pissed that I can't NETWORK RENDER. Dammit, I have 6 machines sitting here that can crank out a render in seconds! Let me use them with Firefly! PHOOEY!
I'm pissed that Poser lighting hasn't changed much since VERSION 1, darnit! Hey, thanks for the spotlights, but how bout some more intuitive ways to control them without resorting to Python again? How bout some TARGET SPOTS instead of free floating? Or simple AREA lights? PHOOEY!
I'm pissed that Poser is all about character development, but fell WAAAAAAAYYYY behind other apps in that same department technologically. Weight maps, guys, weight maps! You're going on Version SIX already. PHOOEY!
I'm pissed that I have to fake GI with a light sphere that's controlled on that silly little frustrating 3D ball in the corner of my screen! PHOOEY!
HEHEHEHE. I think that's all. I feel better now. ;-)
BTW, I'm not REALLY pissed about those things, but it does make me wonder why they added such a great feature as the dynamic cloth, but neglected the simplest workflow improvements. Oh well. I still like Poser even with all it's flaws. I don't hate you, Curious Labs. But thank god for 3dsMax. :-))
