Maybe they couldn't afford Bryce at the moment, Corel is holding onto it for a little longer sice it is selling so well at $79. But after the sales go down.... (they WERE going to sell it a year or two ago for much cheaper than you would think)(didn't happen) "but is its raytracer significantly better than a Renderman-type rendering engine?" Heck no.
