I think that was "Invasion of the Saucer Men" or something like that I remember it as one of the first times they tried for intentional humor and it worked. By the way Frank Gorshin was in it (remember him)? You can decide whether I may be dating myself, or I'm a real fan of horror and sci-fi films, some of which go back to the silent era.
