One does not "become black" by choosing to behave in a certain way. "Black" is defined by an inherent, not to mention an obvious, personal trait.

"Gay" is defined by a behavior. And only by a behavior.

One can discern that a black man is black merely by looking at him.

Usually, one cannot tell that someone else is homosexual simply by looking at them. One must be informed of this fact in order to become cognizant of it. They have to tell you before you will know.

"Race" and "behavior". Apples and oranges. Two utterly different things.
