Well my friends, the time has come. Tomorrow morning I will be leaving dear old Blighty to start my new adventure in the US of A. I guess I really should start packing.

I'm afraid having our own little renders isn't an option. But my fiancee used an older application (I'm the upgrade) but got a couple of decent renders out of it before she decided to trade up. SO, I have a ready made family and avoided the whole nappy (sorry, diaper) stuff. As for the vacancy in the UK. I've been staying at my parents the past few months, so I'll tell them to expect you. All of you. :-) Chocolate, Tea and beer! I hear you there. I've had Hersey bars and that AIN'T chocolate. But found a place that sels Tetley tea bags, so sorted on that. Beer a bit tricker, but sure I can find a place that has a few imports. Thanks for all the wishes.

Sorry, Can't help you. If you moved anywhere along the Appalachians you could be experiencing Wimbledon Weather right now just like sunny old England. We even have a pub full of oy punks. Your biggest cultural hurdle has not even been mentioned yet. That's the switch from marmite to peanut butter. I could tell you but it defies description. Some things you just have to find out for yourself.

I am NOT living without marmite. Already found a place in Fishers that gets imports from the UK. Including Colemans mustard and Hobnobs. As for tea, yes home brew only. My beloved bought a kettle (although she calls it a water heater) just so I can make tea. I also introduced her to a cafetiere rather than the endless dripping 6 hour old sludge she was drinking. Who was it who said the only culture in the US is in a yogurt? Wasn't me that's for sure. :-) God Bless America.

lololol Well as a viking who has survived here for 7 years now, I'll have to give you the discouraging news that the south East of this long coast has already been re-claimed in the name of Leif Eirikson! It's a lot of hard work, though. You see running around with that helmet with horns on is pretty tough. Especially during the Floridian summers. Ahh... Moving to the Hoosier State. The land of race car yayas. (Or at least that Cake song fits the driving style.) Been through there a few times myself. Looking at mapquest, the place you're moving to isn't all that far from Indianapolis. So if you like auto racing, it's not that bad a place. I think it's not too far from Amish country depending what direction you go (from what I can remember.) Also remember to avoid Gary if you ever go to Chicago (unless you like having wheels broken off of your car - or stolen from it if you stay there long enough. LOL!)

Oh, everyone knows that an American philosopher is a former candidate that lost an election... "Stone" is either something he was, something he wanted to do or the condition of his heart! (Certainly not a measure of weight!) At least our sessions of Congress are civilized compared to what I've seen of British Parliament! Other rules: A napkin often is a serviette, not a "nappy" A "Rubber" is a condom and not a pencil eraser. To "Knock one up" is to get them pregnant and not a visit. A "Jay Arthur" is, well now known by the Austin Powers movies. There were "Mini Coopers" before BMW brought them to the States. And, as I understand it, Four O'clock Tea is actually "low" tea and not "high" tea. Petrol is gas or gasoline. We use an absurd amount of different measures, very few are metric. Most of us older folk say "Pound foolish and Penny wise" wearas "Dollar foolish and Penny wise" would be more apropos. And, finally, maybe it's different in the Midwest, but here in California, nearly every grocery sells Coleman's Mustard for not much more than McCormick's.

SO many nice greetings. Well, I'm here. Could you tell? Just breezed through immigration and customs yesterday. 85 degrees,sunny and warm. Wimbledon on TV, English tea in the cupboard. Everything is right with the world. Even had my first cup of coffee this trip. Some sludge that Gale made that I diluted 1:1! Went to get the marriage licence this morning. No problems there either, so geting married on Friday morning. Did have trouble explaining what 'O' Levels are, in the end just assumed it was at least a high school diploma. Thanks for all the wishes and thoughts. It just goes to show that when it comes to artists sites, Renderosity is the best and when it comes to applications, Brycers are the best. Thanks guys.

@ tjohn; down in the South they have what they call a "Nappy Meal" in that you need a lot of napkins (serviettes) because they are so messy. I didn't want poor drawbridgep to think he had to wipe his mouth with a Huggies! Also @ rickymaveety: don't forget that a bonnet (UK) is what we Yanks call a hood (not to be mistaken with the same word in the context of 'the boyz in the 'hood)!

Oh, and in Victoria, British Columbia (so called more British than Britain) umbrellas ARE known as Bumbershoots!
