Installers from Daz should have no problems, just select the Poser 5 folder in the dialogue. Zip files should be okay as long as the path begins with "Runtime". If the path starts with "Poser 4" or "Metacreations" or somesuch, you'll need to extract to a temp directory and then grab the Runtime folder from there and copy it to your installation. If you still have your P4 folder structure intact, you can just copy the entire Runtime directory across, but I'm not sure from what you say if this survived the crash. Bad luck on that, hope you get it sorted soon.
