Freezing cursor of the tablet is easily fixed by removing the tablet cord from USB, waiting a second and reinserting the tablet cord. This effectively reloads the drivers. I have experienced two errors (one froze the cursor and other that started to think the pen and tablet as mouse) and both got fixed by the above-mentioned trick. Of course that only works with USB ...
