I tend to mainly use 2 photoshop plugins - Extensis Intellihance Pro available at http://www.extensis.com/en/products/product_family.jsp?locale=en_US&id=1015 and then Andromeda Scatter light http://www.andromeda.com/ I also have the Auto FX suite and they too are excellent. It depends on exactly what look you want to achieve.
