I recently noticed I was having a slower than normal startup time for Poser. I keep all my scenes in a pz3file folder in my runtime. I had accidently placed 3 shortcut files (links) to pz3 files in that folder which I had subsequently deleted. When I found those links and deleted them my load time was under 15 seconds - before over a minute. So perhaps Poser is checking files and their links on startup?
