Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 1:45 am)
Hi E, Use the Grouping Tool to make a separate group from the head that does not include the inner parts. Next, select the Head and Create Magnet. Now, under the Mag ZONE Properties, you can select the (new) "group" that you just made, and only it will be affected by the magnet. cheers, dr geep ;=]

cheers,
dr geep ... :o]

Eowyn, be aware that if you make any changes to your mesh using the grouping tool in Pro Pack, than save the figure to the Library, PP will create a new object for the figure and place it in the same folder where you save. For example, say you have V3 in your scene and you group the face mesh as you describe. You decide to save this modified figure to the Library as Jane.cr2. PP will create a new object called Jane.obj in that folder, and will set the call path for the geometry to look for this object instead of the usual blMilwoman object in the geometry folder. This can be both good and frustrating at times, but so long as you know that it happens - you can at least deal with it. :O)

Hiya! I know this has been asked before but I couldn't find the thread anymore... I'm trying to create head morphs using magnets but I don't want the magnets to affect the inner parts of the figure's mouth (teeth, tongue, gums...). I remember there was a thread where someone explained how that could be prevented using the grouping tool.. but I can't remember anymore how it was supposed to be done. Help, anyone? -Eowyn
