Yeah, really looks pretty good to me. :)) I guess the floor is not finished yet, for I see a gap between floor and wall and the texture looks a bit blurred. The modelling is great (only some stones on top look very sharp and equal). Must sound impertinent to hear this comment from someone who never modelled outside Vue - but you asked for feedback. :)))) Another thing which is purely a matter of taste: In this old ruins I always expect windows like arches. Would be wonderful to see at least a rest of those stone arches. But I imagine, that this is hard to realize. Very looking forward to your progresses. You are on the good way. Britta
WOW! Yeah! This looks just like the real ones and the texturing looks just about perfect!! Were my photo's helpful? Can't wait to try out the model..... wonder if I'll get the same spooky feeling I have when I'm walking around those places ;-) I've been looking thru my collection and found a few more that might help. Hope it's ok to post them here :-)

thanx for feedback, BGHArt : your observation are really important for me to make a good model... blurring texture will be fixed at the end of work, in the ruins i've some window-arches (not in image uploaded)... the only problem are square stones, in my model i've 2 type : one with many faces and with roundness of edges, other with only 12 faces (a cube) without realistic noised apparence... the proble in other words are the amount of final polygons : 5000 cube-stones * 12 faces = 60.000 polygons VS 5000 rounded-stones * about 1000 faces = 5.000.000 polygons... i think too much for a smart use of model...
Wow, that looks great! Love those arches in the second picture.

Unbelievable... such a great model made with lightning speed! IF I were able to make something like that (am working on my modeling skills), it would surely take me months - if not years to come up with something like that! Some of the stones seem to come out of the wall quite far - why is that? Does not look like the rest of the wall is crumbled or so. Are those the remains of some "ruined" features?
thanx firebolt for your kind words... with only textures the model seem too "flat", but "real" ruined features from past are too difficult to make in few time... so i try with some random stones... in some case this done realistic view at model in other case no... but i think this a little sweet touch and i like the result also in part of model where these artifact are a little bit weird.
Hey Luca, what i have seen so far looks incredible. Just fantastic. And like a lot of work. Impressive. Only one question i have because i thought about it the last days. You said above somewhere that you used blocks with 12 faces. Can you tell me how? I can iomagine 6 faces, 10, 14 and more. But not really 12. How is that done? As an old modeller i am only curious how. Nothing more. Again, hat down from my side for what i have seen so far!

ok, triangulated. I do understand. Even when this is not really necessary. Only if you are not sure wether the face is not in one plane completely. Anyway, i do understand now. Thanks for the quick response. And again, bravo for the model. It is fantastic!
