I would suggest looking in freestuff to see if you can find a more realistic texture for the figure, although I don't think she looks all that bad to begin with. But, I do see where her skin is sorta mono-tone. I usually start my textures in Bryce with a Diffusion of 100 and an Ambience of 15, to start with and work from there. It's not very often my Ambience goes over 15. Radial lights can be sensitive when close to an object, you can always raise it further up, and probably have more of a margin for the intensity.
