I made groups out of booleans and unset all unneccesary shadows & blurries and it did make a difference, the image still took quite a while to render but the "out of memory" was gone. Only other thing that happened was that I didn't like the feel of the image anymore, so I started a new one till real life caught up with the playing with pics and so this excercise is put on ice till after the Xmas season. Image attached is where I stopped playing with this one, rendertime 1024x764 to final was abt 6 hrs, which is OK that PC is only for "images/the rendering of...".
