neilp: Perhaps it overwrites or enhances a couple of .dll files that Poser relies on as well? Dunno, haven't tested it... I'm too busy tweaking D|S to run better on Linux under cxoffice to bother checking (at least until DAZ can cough up some source code for me to port...)
