Thanks for the "Prefetch" info. I did think it was more likely the OS was doing it too, as obviously Poser had no software mechanism for it. What can I say- it works for me! I never said anyone had to USE Daz Studio to make it work, etc.--- but some some here everything is an Evil DAZ Conspiracy!
