It wouldn't help in all likelihood, and flashing the BIOS is something that needs to be approached carefully. If you fail, unless you have one of the boards with a second BIOS chip as a failsafe, you will have killed your system until you get a replacement BIOS chip. And usually, unless you have a good connection, it turns out to be cheaper to just replace the motherboard entirely (you have to have a bootable, working BIOS to be able to flash a BIOS. If it won't boot, you can not flash it to repair it).
