Here's some other 3D apps rendering benchmarks. I also use 3dsmax so let's look at those scores. The AMD 2600+ processor gets a score of 139. The 3.2 ghz P4 prescott chip gets a score of 101. That is a speed increase of about ~38%? Now look at the vue render times: an increase of what...3-5%? Correct my math if I'm wrong...was never good at that, but obviously the scores are much higher when using 3dsmax with a P4...I don't know how reliable tom's hardware is, but in my experience, they have fairly even reviews. The 3dsmax scores for the AMD chips looks a little off though. the 2700+ faster than a 3000+??? Maybe the cache is different on those models. I dunno...anyone find any other benchmarks? Edit: Maybe vue is more like lightwave or mathmatica on those toms hardware benchmarks...the AMD chips do much better on those software tests...
