Hmm, well good textures have many different layers to them. Most of mine come from photographs, adds to the realism. by layers I mean that it's very important to think of what the object actually looks like, is it highly specular, are there reflections, how reflective is it. is there a bumb on it (no matter how small bump can add a WHOLE lot). As far as posting images, I really don't 'love' any of my images, I always feel like I could do better with a few more renders etc. This was the first completed render of the scene, and I decided to live with it so that I could work on my next image. I do post some WIPS in the forum, if you scroll down to the creating environment post I made yesterday you will see a WIP of this image, I didn't really like that render's look at all, but I posted it just to explain the technique. But yeah, if I really liked a way a render looked, even if it wasn't perfect, of course I'd post it. But unfortunately if I can't get an image exactly how I want it, I usually don't like it that much. I can see so many things that I'd like to change in this image, but either don't have the time or technical knowledge to do it.
