Hmm I have one comp on my network that has 98. WOrks fine with the other 4. It's all wireless through a Dlink router. It's sharing resources with the other computers just fine.. It's actually a part of my little render farm as well. If you wanted to chain the pc's together using crossover cable I can see where you'd run into trouble.. But using a router it's not only doable it's extremely simple.
