I am guessing that the website will be live and that Pro-Render will be there in the next couple of weeks... Hope so. 8) Thanks for the heads up Len. Wade

A whiner is about as useful as a one-legged man at an arse kicking contest.
A truly good marketing ploy is to get it working, send it out to beta testers and then push the hype when you have field tested renders from a number of different artist. What your doing is pissing everyone off and if your product does not work, you will go down in flames. Even one simple flaw in what you make will now and can forever damage your credibility. It is way beyond the point of no return now. If your "Pro-Render" is not 100% perfect, no one will ever trust you again. I wish you the best and I have not said anything until this point, but this post was not the right thing to do. To tell you the truth, With Bryce in new hands, your work might be in vain anyways.
Right OK,
Before this turns into yet another locked thread, for once read what's in front of you, and not what you want to read.
It was simply a post to announce that PRO-RENDER or it's files, will be available on www.pumeco.com within the next couple of weeks. It was also posted to clear up any confusions brought about by the previous threads, OK?
Now, if anyone has a problem with that, say it stright, and I'll just drop the whole f**king thing.
Is it possible for any thread that bears the name pumeco, to have a civil response around here?
If it is, then forgive me - I find it impossible to believe.
Len.

Are there even any example renders? Sorry I was out of the loop when this first hit.. Also, why did you title the post "PRO-RENDER" why not "Soon there will be a website for Pro-Render" or something more literally related to the post. Because after reading it.. I have come away with no more information about "pro-render".
I hate to burst your bubble, but the examples shown look like true ambience renders using singular high ambient light sources and materials. If the render times were say.. 20 minutes. I could see how this would be something special. But at the moment.. It's been done. I'm not saying this isn't amazing, but here are some examples from two years ago..
http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=331596&Start=55&Artist=Ornlu&ByArtist=Yes
http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=332086&Start=55&Artist=Ornlu&ByArtist=Yes
http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=340763&Start=55&Artist=Ornlu&ByArtist=Yes
And those images are done with Zero direct lighting... As in, not even a sun object. And those are not done using reflective surfaces either.. just true ambiance and severely over-exposed HDRI's in the ambiant channel of a sphere.
A lot of my renders now use a similar technique, but that's what was going on a year and a half ago... It's not true GI, it's not real image based lighting, it's just taking advantage of' ambiant levels of 'close' materials...
Sorry if this is insulting, it's not meant to be. BUt I don't understand how it's a product if you can allready do it in bryce with minimal problems.. and even lower render times than you posted.
At least now I don't doubt that it is possible. I just thought it was going to be something new. here's a more recent image using a combination of effects.. These were all done with plain old bryce..no special programs or magical pro renders here. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=613242&Start=1&Artist=Ornlu&ByArtist=Yes

xenic101 was here. I read the thread from lgp692000 first and started thinking, maybe I should jump to pumeco's defense and start championing him and his efforts. Now I just need to find a defendable point. He may have possibly developed a technique that may or may not be completely revolutionary and could be released some time somewhere over the rainbow, where birds fly, there's a land that I dreamed of, once in a lullaby. Doesn't really work does it? I'll keep looking.

Great to hear that Pumeco...Render on... I agree...Chill out Folks.... Just listening to the whinning and *itching from most who have Replied to Pumeco's Threads Makes me wonder how MANY other folks who USE Bryce MIGHT now be afraid to step forward with something to HELP the Majority of the BRYCE community BECAUSE They are now AFRAID to POST because they KNOW that they will more then likely get their HEADS bitten off... Think About it folks....Your hurting BRYCE more then you are Helping...

Len???? I thought my response was civil. If it wasn't then I apologize. I will be checking your website now and then till you have it up and running as I have been doing already. Once again thanks for the heads up. And as Mrdodobird and Folypro said.... I think that everyone needs to TAKE A CHILL PILL AND RELAX a little instead of keeping on with the bad mouthing and slamming. Give the guy a chance for crying out loud... It has come to the point that I am tempted to just stop posting here anymore. I am just about sick of this bickering and so on. 8( Apparently what AgentSmith said didn't mean a thing to some. If you all truely respect AgentSmith as you say you do.... then you would do like he respectfully asked and chill out a bit.

Again posting for the E-bot. Personally, the term "Vapour ware" comes to mind and www.pumeco.com is a big black nothing to me, just like Pro-render.

Hi.
As announced in a previous post on Renderosity, here is the "new" thread, although it's contents are not what I intended them to be.
For various reasons, some of which are beyond my control, I'll keep this brief, and to the point.
The fuss over PRO-RENDER comes down to marketing - very good marketing. PRO-RENDER was once part of a marketing project, but it's no longer a part of that project. All will become obvious when www.pumeco.com goes online.
The marketing method used, was no bad thing. Without it, PRO-RENDER would never have been made a reality, and that would have been a real shame. Luckily, it IS a reality, so I'll end by advising you to keep an eye on www.pumeco.com over the next couple of weeks.
-now I wonder why that could be?
Long live Bryce, and may your skill forever evolve.
All the best,
Len.
